Need gear, forgot something or just want to try something new? Check out the Gear Library! It's a shed that works just like a traditional library, but instead of books, you can borrow outdoor gear like bikes, backpacks, hiking poles, and more. Best of all, it's completely free to join and is entirely run by our amazing community volunteers. Whether you're gearing up for a big adventure or just trying something new, the Gear Library has got you covered. It's our way of making outdoor activities accessible to everyone in the community. Come by and see what we have to offer!
Located at 2085 Main St. Bethlehem, NH 03574 behind rek’ - lis brewing company along the rotary rear parking lot.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The gear library is simple to use. Completely run online without having to call or meet any person to schedule your gear check out. Follow along below to get started!
The first step to using the Gear Library is visiting their website. There you will follow their step by step guide to sign up. Once signed up you will have access to see what is available to take out and receive the code to unlock the shed!
SIGN UP
Once you have the code, simply arrive at the Gear Library and enter the code on the padlock to open the doors to the shed. Inside you will find all your gear. Some gear, such as the bikes will require another code to unlock the bike locks.

CHECK OUT
Grab your gear, make sure everything looks like it’s in good working condition, and sign it out.
The gear is yours to enjoy for the day. Take it and use it to have a real adventure and try something new! Please feel free to take pictures and tag us and leave a review. We appreciate all the support. Everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors!

Franconia Basecamp is an independent, local outdoor consignment, retail, and repair shop. Our mission is to increase access to the outdoors, reduce our impact on the environment, and give back to our local community while providing a welcoming hub to adventurers of all backgrounds and experience levels.

MAINTENANCE STATIONS
Provided by the Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail, the gear maintenance station is a wonderful addition to town. Located on the main route of Bethlehem and Littleton, these stations provide reliable access to the necessary tools to make quick set up changes and repairs on your bike. Each station is equipped with a set of standard tools, a bike pump, and a stand to elevate your bike to work on.
